The Challenge
Due to a breakdown in the boiler (steam dome), the facility doesn’t have enough boiler feed water to maintain production. In addition, heavy rains have made the raw water quality worse, calling for additional pretreatment.
The Solution
Initially, we deployed mobile filtration (MOFI 3x60s), reverse osmosis (MORO 4x25T), and deionization (MODI) trailers for water treatment. However, heavy rains increased the Suspended Solids Index (SDI), prompting the addition of an ultrafiltration unit (MOUF 2x140C and UR 70m³ tank) to replace the filtration unit. To meet rising water demand, two mobile reverse osmosis (MORO 25C) units were introduced for increased capacity and redundancy. Operating at 120 – 150 m³/h for boiler feed water production, daily operations and maintenance are expertly managed by outsourcing to a local O&M partner.
